There are two types of people in the world, those that love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and the idiots that don’t. Whoa! Maybe that’s a bit harsh. They’re probably not idiots but just people that are traumatized because of being dropped on a pile of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as children. I mean come on. How can you not love PB and J sandwiches? Not only do they taste like a piece of heaven, but they are also an awesome pre-workout meal.

Let’s just take a look at the elements that make a good peanut butter and jelly sandwich. You have whole grains, nuts, and berries all mixed together to form a balanced meal. You get a good source of carbs, good source of fat, and even protein to top it off. It very simply puts together a solid group of nutrients needed to fuel you through a tough workout.
