It's crunch time if you want to have your body look great this Summer.&#160; Summer has already begun, but if you need a little help burning some fat, losing weight and toning up, here are a two tips that I'm currently following that will help you achieve your Summer body.
 Tip number one is something that I normally do when I really want to burn off that last layer of fat and achieve that sought after "toned" body look.&#160; I start off my morning with a protein smoothie a.ka. protein shake.&#160; The one I'm currently using every morning is a blueberry protein shake/smoothie. Here's the recipe:
 1/2 cup of frozen blue berrries1/4 cup of frozen strawberries1 cup of non-fat milkI scoop of vanilla protein powder
 Tip number two, and something that I do every time I have a cup of coffee is that I throw in a green tea, tea bag.&#160; This is done so as to get as much green tea in my diet as possible, speed up my metabolism and help burn off the fat. &#160;
 Give these two easy to follow tips a try, burn the fat, lose weight and enjoy your toned body the rest of the summer.

Hi Coach,I'm done with FX workout 6, but I had to take a two day break.&#160; Should I start all the way from the beginning or just go on to FX workout 7.&#160; By the way, thanks a lot, I've already lost a few pounds and I've really noticed it in the way my pants are fitting.&#160; I'm hoping that means I'm burning the fat.Jen P.
Jen, while the Fat X Program was designed as&#160; a 12 day fat burning jump start program, it's not absolutely necessary you finish it in 12 days.&#160; You will still achieve good fat/weight loss results and as you've already noticed, most importantly your clothes will fit better and you will look better.&#160; Check out the results of one of my clients that I put through the FX 12 over 4 weeks. Hey coach, I am just starting the 12 day program. I am 17 years old and I am 5'8" and weigh 180 lbs. I have a gut, lovehandles, and fat around my chest if you know what I mean. I just want to know if the 12 day work out would help me get rid of these areas. It is the summer so I am completely committed to doing whatever is necessary to get rid of the fat in these areas. If the work outs do not include specific exercises to target these areas, would it be possible for you to suggest some extra exercises that would help me please? Lokin, this is a common question that tends to be asked in a variety of ways.&#160; I've answered similar questions before and have also written post on similar topics.&#160; As a brief reminder, unused energy (food/calories) are stored on your body as fat.&#160; The usual and biggest fat storage areas tend to the be what you mentioned are your problem areas, gut, love handles etc.&#160; The FX 12, if followed properly, will definitely help you shed, burn, lose fat.&#160; Your genetics will dictate where it is most noticeable at first. &#160;
Just to give you something to shoot for, my goal, when I train private clients is to have them lose 2 to 3&#160; inches around their waist.&#160; I take measurement the first day, the seventh day and the last day.&#160; I haven't failed to reach my goal yet.&#160; I would highly suggest you follow the program as closely as possible, so that you can reach a reasonable goal you set. &#160; The FX 12 workout guide/manual is only a few bucks, and I believe it would be a very good investment in achieving your fat loss, fat burning goals.&#160;

What To Eat?
Whenever I have appointment at Sogo Shopping Complex, I love to wait for my client in front of a bakery shop around lunch hour time. The reason is because I can do my observation on what type of items in the bakery shop is the hot selling items. Don&#8217;t get confused, I am not trying to survey, I&#8217;m not into bakery business, but I am into health and weight loss business.
You must be wondering, does it relates to each other? The answer is Yes!
Last time, when I was overweight, I don&#8217;t observe what others do
But now, I like to observe what people eat. Be it at food court, restaurant or bakery shop. Let me share to you how do I usually observe. First, the size and shape of that particular person. And I will observe what kind of food that they are ordering, buying or eating. It&#8217;s very true, You Are What You Eat.
An interesting example&#8230;of what to eat&#8230;.
At the bakery shop, when a person&#8217;s size shows that they are overweight and the type of bread that they choose to take and put into the tray is the deep fried bread or deep fried bun. Whereas another person with a proportionate body shape went into the bakery shop, usually they will opt for normal red bean paste bun or sausage bun. Can you see the difference here?
Watch Out What To Eat
Most people when buying food outside, they do not know what type of food to eat in order to take care of their diet. Well, all I can say is that outside food is not as good compared to home cook food. Do you agree with me? In our society today, no choice the fastest and easiest way is to eat out. Can you eat out and still keeping off your weight? Yes, sure do. All you need to do is more conscious of what type of food that you choose and the the type of food you will be eating. In simple phrase, choose healthier food. Example.. fried fish and grilled fish. Choose grilled fish. Not that hard, right?
Choose what to eat&#8230;and that is when you choose your body shape. You got to control your own decision. Decision will be the outcome of your body shape and weight.

When I tried to promote to people about healthy way to lose weight, one of my subscriber replied to my email and she said..

My replied to her, how long can you afford eating less to lose weight? Can you afford to eat lesser and lesser for the rest of your lives just to maintain and keeping the weight off? Does she knows that initial stage of eating less to lose weight will work so effectively and that is the reason why she is losing 8kgs just by eating less to lose weight. Eating less to lose weight without eating a healthy diet, is not the right way to lose weight. This is because when a person started eating less and not eating a healthy diet, let&#8217;s say insufficient of protein intake. What the body will do is, it will steal protein from your muscles and organs. Then, when you are losing your weight, it could be losing the muscles mass.
Eating less to lose weight will work because it is a sudden cut on the amount of calories intake to the body. When a person takes lesser calories than the body needs, automatically the person will experience weight loss. Cutting down calories is the right way to lose weight, but cutting down the nutrients needed by the body is a huge No No.
What is your body telling you when your body is not getting the nutrients needed?
When your body is lack of the nutrition needed, you will  notice few things like:

When your body is telling you something, this shows your body is telling you about your weight loss plan.
If your body starts  telling you something that means you are under go an unhealthy way of weight loss. Your body is lacking the nutrients needed. A lot of people are neglecting this and take it easy.  What is the point that you can lose weight, then you don&#8217;t look attractive? Out of the sudden you can lose weight, but you look so unattractive because you are easily feeling tired, looking pale as if a sick person and lack of energy? Is this called the success in losing weight? Do you dare to teach people to lose weight like you do even you have lost a lot of weight using your own weight loss plan which is showing that your body is lacking of the balance nutrition needed by your body?

Scientists have a name for what is going on the minds of these non-overweight girls who view themselves as fat:  Body image distortion.
So, who are considered suffering from this body image distortion? Check out the symptoms:

“A distorted view of one’s weight status makes one more vulnerable to  using unsafe weight loss behaviors. The key is to cultivate a positive,  realistic, and appreciative relationship with your body regardless of  your weight, then get support to develop eating and activity habits that  balance input and output, and that you can live with for long time.”
Body image dissatisfaction is different from body image distortion. Body image dissatisfaction is where a girl sees her body the way  it really is and finds it unattractive, but a girl suffering from body image distortion falsely interprets what she sees  in the mirror.
Have I met such girls before?
As a personal weight management coach, of course I have met such girls before. It is just a few and surprised to me is I met one guy too. Some that I can&#8217;t meet face to face and I do a quick analysis on their weight based on their height, their weight is perfectly falls in the range of ideal weight. But these people keeps telling me that they still very fat and need to lose more weight. As an experienced personal weight management coach, by the look at the number from the calculation and also from the body shape, we can tell whether the person needs to lose weight or just to eat healthily and maintain the current weight and body shape.
Will I still coach and guide people who are suffering from body image distortion?
No, because they don&#8217;t need a weight loss coach to teach them how to lose weight as they don&#8217;t need one. But what they need is support of 3 A&#8217;s for their mindset.
The 3 A&#8217;s:
Attention: Refers to listening for and responding to internal cues (i.e., hunger, satiety, fatigue). People suffering from body image distortion will usually starve themselves and this will leads to an unsafe weight loss behavior. Instead of starving, they should eat right.
Appreciation: Refers to appreciating the pleasures your body can provide. There is no &#8220;perfect&#8221; body. Different culture, different race, different ethnic will make us looks different individually. Learn to appreciate what you&#8217;ve got.
Acceptance: Refers to accepting what is &#8212; instead of longing for what is not. Learn to accept the truth.
Healthy body weight is the size a person naturally returns to after a long period of both non-compulsive eating* and consistent exercise commensurate with the person&#8217; s physical health and condition. People who are suffering body image distortion must learn to advocate for themselves  to aspire to a naturally determined size, even though that will often mean confronting misinformed family, friends, and media advertising again and again.
*Simply stated, non-compulsive eating means eating when you are hungry and stopping when you are satisfied. This involves being able to distinguish emotional hunger from physical hunger, and satiation from over fullness
